MDR California 200 Tragic Accident 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 4
August 14, 2010

Last night in Lucerne Valley at the California 200 a truck went out of control and rolled into the crowd. It is very unfortunate for us to be reporting this, so we are going to keep it short.

8 people are confirmed dead, 12 injured. We are not going to list names or drivers out of respect to the families of all that are involved.

We strongly encourage everyone to visit www.fast-aid.org/california-200.html to donate and help the families of victims.

This was Tragic and I know of a few that were takin. Please donate to help with the families and to help future ones in need.

A large group from several Race Teams out of Chino/Chino Hills area just had a fund raiser (8/23/2010) at Applebee's to help out FastAid. Roughly a $1000 dollars was generated through Applebee's and $500 just in wrist bands.

That's awesome! Was it any particular group that put on the fundraiser? It's crazy to think how quick the off-road community banded together and started fund-raising and share all the links to follow the story, basically immediately following the accident. Fast-Aid also responded in amazing time...Thanks for sharing the info, we need to hear more stories like this.
