In participating in ANY and ALL activity or visiting any pages of Anything Lifted; including the Forums, Community, User Galleries, Instant Messaging, Email, and any other services that are provided by Anything Lifted you are agreeing to the rules listed below. In saying you are also bound by the punishments attached to them as well and agree to the policy in regards to breaking the rules.
Breaking rules result in punishments. As we are only able to ban and un-ban profiles at the moment than this is the only form of punishment that we can use for breaking the rules of this forum and community.
1. Warning - In most cases our staff (admin, moderator) will send you a warning, or a cease order for whatever rule you are breaking. In some cases the offense is to serious to even send a warning and bans are immediately sent in place. We will also try to determine whether you knew what you were doing was wrong or whether a warning is nessisary to explain it do you. We do not want to ban anyone from this community, but to uphold the integrity we must do so.
2. Temporary Ban - Temporary bans will be put in place accompanied by an email from an admin or moderator. The user must than send an email back explaining oneself for his/her actions. If not response is sent than we will consider this a withdrawal from the community and the temporary ban will be permanent.
3. Permanent Ban - Permanent ban will be placed after a member breaks one of the rules and does not respond to a temporary ban. A member will also be placed on a permanent ban immediately if the offense is extreme enough. The decision to send a member straight to a permanent ban is up to the Super Admin only and cannot be made by a moderator or regular admin.
The following rules list the most serious violations:
1. No Discrimination - You may not insult members based on their religion, race, sex, political beliefs, or whether they are gay or straight. This is worse than flaming, because it also hurts other members of the board who fall into the catagory you insult. Anything Lifted is a place where everyone is equal, and discrimination will NOT be tolerated!
2. No Bullying - Do not pick on other members. The worst kind of bullying is where new members are picked on. This hurts the member as well as the board.
3. No Flaming - Flaming harms the nice atmosphere of Anything Lifted. It also causes thread's to go off topic, and most importantly, it hurts the person being flamed. The victom may defend themselves against any accusations made to them, but may not make any additional accusations to the flamer (which also counts as flaming).
4. No Profanity or Obscene Content - Such content does not belong on Anything Lifted. If you noticed you may have went off track a little bit after posting, please edit your post and remove all profanity and obscene content. To edit a post, click the "Edit" button right below it. We at Anything Lifted do no want to have to add a Censorship Bot to monitor against profanity and obscene images and content. Right now we also don't have Admin approval of pictures submitted to user galleries. We hope to keep it this way, so that the posting of pictures is done instantly. We hope that it can stay like this, in the unfortunate event that it doesn't than we will have to add a Censorship Bot and have Admin approval of all photos uploaded.
5. No Hacking - This should go without saying, but you are not permitted to hack the board. Guessing someone else's password and succeeding counts as hacking. As this violates others privacy any members who hacks will instantly be permanently banned without any warnings.
6. No Advertising - You are not permitted to make money using Anything Lifted. You are not allowed to use the member list to obtain Instant Messenging screennames to harrass people to purchase a product from you. You are not allowed to email user regarding any other sites or products other than any Anything Lifted products and services. The same rules also apply to forum posts and community comments.
7. No Illegal Activity - Anything Lifted does NOT condone illegal activity. You are not allowed to break the law using Anything Lifted. If you do anything that is found illegal you will be immediately banned, this INCLUDES the discussion of any illegal drugs or use of illegal drugs or distribution. If found in any content of the pages of Anything Lifted you are in direct violation of these rules and therefore are consenting to the release of any personal information by request of any local or federal authorities.
8. No Double Posting or Spamming - You may not post more than once in a row in the same thread. Posting lots of times in a row reduces the quality of the board, is a waste of the board's memory, and provides the culprit with ill earned post count points. Double posts will be merged into regular posts, and you will lose 10 postcount for each of the posts excluding the first one. Your post count can be changed to a negative number if necessary. The only exeption to this rule is if your edit timer (24 hours) for the post has run out, in which case you may double post if you have something important to add. Spamming is also not allowed, and is defined as a post that has no meaning.
9. No Topic Bumping - If a topic you created has no replies, you may not post again in it (although you may edit the post if the timer has not run out). If you made the thread because you need help with something, you may post again as long as you include additional information about your problem (the fact that you really really want it fixed does not count as additional information). You must post this in the same thread, and you are not allowed to create more than one thread per topic.
10. No Posting Personal Info - You may not post your personal information on Anything Lifted. This is because this information then becomes accessible to anyone. In order to ensure your safety and privacy we have added this section to the rules so that we can help protect our members. Our Privacy Policy stats that we will not share your personal information that was provided upon installation and we hope that you will keep it secret too. If you post any information, whether it be on the Forums, Community, Instant Messaging, Photo Comments, or by any other means you are in direct violation of this rule. In most cases since this information is that of the senders you will be given a warning not to do it again. In posting your own personal information you are releasing Anything Lifted of any wrong doing that may become of such actions and therefore void our Privacy Policy in your case and cannot be bound by it thereafter.
11. Changes - Our Rules can be changed at any time. We do not need to post that they have been changed. The rules are very straight forward and common sense. It is the users responsibility to track changes of these rules.
The following are a set of amendments to clarify the rules for those people who wish to nitpick:
Amendment 1 - There are no excuses for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if you were angry at the time and weren't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if you were only kidding around. If you break a rule, it does the same damage, regardless of your reasons for breaking it, and you will be punished all the same.
Amendment 2 - Staff abuse will not be tolerated. As a staff member, your job is to help the people, not harm them. You may only use your powers for the purposes that they have been given to you for. There is no limit on how much you may be punished for this severe offense as this must be stopped at all costs to protect the people. This means that if you abuse your powers, there is a good chance you will be permanently banned.
Amendment 3 - Harrassing the administration about punishments is not allowed. The admins are only trying to do their job, and many times they have to make difficult decisions. You may post your opinion in the thread that announces the punishment, so long as you do not flame anyone. If this thread gets out of hand, it will be closed, and you may not complain elsewhere on the board, or by other means including, but not limited to: private messages, instant messaging programs, email, telephone calls, and house visits. You also may not make threats against administrators (or other members for that matter...). Punishments for harrassment range from a 5 day mute for minor harrasments to a permanent ban if serious threats are involved.
Amendment 4 - If you break more than one rule, the punishments will stack up to a maximum of 2 months, or a permanent ban if neccessary. If a sentencing length is 10 days or less, it is a mute, otherwise, it can either be a temporary or permanent ban.
